Quality Dental Bridges in Albuquerque
Contact Our Albuquerque Dentists for Immediate Assistance
A dental bridge is a dental implant that replaces one or more missing teeth. Most people assume that dental bridge work is primarily cosmetic, but while a bridge can restore a patient's confidence, there are many health benefits to having a complete set of teeth in one's mouth. If you believe a dental bridge is right for you, contact our offices today.
At Dental House, our Albuquerque family dentists are committed to a patient-centric approach to all our dental work. We understand that, for some patients, precise, effective dental work is key to their smile and self-confidence. We're ready to work closely with our patients to explore their options and ensure that they are provided the safe, resilient, and beautifying treatment they need.

Key Advantages of Choosing a Dental Bridge
Missing teeth can be embarrassing, but for those who have lost teeth, it is likely that they have noticed other effects, as well. Every patient is different and an experienced dentist can help you assess the effects (and the potential effects) of your missing teeth.
What Missing Teeth Can Cause:
- Make chewing difficult (and affect diet)
- Affect the shape of our face
- Affect the way we talk
- Cause other teeth to shift/move
- Make other teeth more vulnerable to damage
Fortunately, a high-quality bridge can remedy these issues and provide a patient with long-lasting oral health. At Dental House, we're ready to provide patients cost-effective and state-of-the-art dental bridge options. Call us today to start the process.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long can I expect my dental bridge to last?
On average, a well-maintained dental bridge lasts between 5 to 15 years. With exceptional oral hygiene and regular checkups at Dental House, many patients find their bridges last even longer. The longevity depends largely on the health of the underlying "abutment" teeth, so keeping your gums and natural teeth healthy is the best way to protect your investment.
How do I clean under my dental bridge?
Since a bridge is one continuous piece, you cannot floss between the prosthetic tooth and the crowns. Instead, you use a special tool called a "floss threader" or an interdental brush to slide floss under the pontic (the replacement tooth). This removes food particles and plaque from the gum line, preventing decay of the supporting teeth.
What happens if the teeth supporting my bridge get a cavity?
This is why hygiene is so critical. If one of the abutment teeth develops decay, the bridge may need to be removed to treat the cavity. In some cases, if the decay is extensive, the tooth may no longer be able to support a bridge, and alternative options like implants may need to be discussed.
